Psychotherapy

Let’s talk.

 

My approach to psychotherapy is straightforward; be present, be curious, trust the process.  

These elements allow for a deep, compassionate relationship to develop in which you will feel safe to explore who you are and how you found yourself here, in this moment. I do my best to track how your experiences, your understanding, your beliefs, your feelings, your emotions, your body, and your nervous system interact with each other throughout each session. In doing so we can begin to learn the ways in which you are engaging with old patterns and habits that no longer serve you.

Through our work together, we will develop new ways of thinking, increase your ability to be present with your emotions, and co-create skills to help you regain a sense of safety and calm. In other words, we can hand you back to yourself. You will develop a deeper awareness of yourself, create new ways of looking at your experience, and find ways to feel engaged and present in your daily life.

While it is difficult to sum up a clinical approach in a few sentences, it is just as difficult to get a sense of a therapist and your connection to them without meeting face to face.
